Scripture Study

“Sacred Scripture, the word of God written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, has the preeminent position in the life of the Catholic church and especially in the ministry of evangelization and catechesis” [NDC, p.70]. “The presentation of the Gospels should be done in such a way as to elicit an encounter with Christ, who provides the key to the whole biblical revelation and communicates the call of God that summons each one to respond” [NDC, p.71]. The Diocese of San Jose encourages parish leaders to promote the study and sharing of scripture for adults in the parish through a variety of methods. The attached document lists some ways that adult faith formation leaders can help adults be firmly rooted in Sacred Scripture.
