Justice for Immigrants Arizona Research Action Report

This past June, thirty community members from Santa Clara County traveled to Phoenix, Arizona to spend a day listening to and learning from people affected by the recently-passed Senate Bill 1070. Our Justice for Immigrants delegation included policy makers, social workers, labor organizers, journalists, students, retired people, and people from many faith traditions. We sought to reach out to our counterparts in Arizona to better understand what they were experiencing, and also to ask ourselves, "Could this happen here?
