National Preach-in on Global Warming
February 12-14, 2010

Clergy are invited by Interfaith Power and Light to preach a sermon on global warming the weekend of February 12-14. Also, congregations are encouraged to take action in helping to reduce global warming.

Global warming is a serious issue that puts the environment and future generations at risk. Scientific research shows carbon dioxide is added to the air when we burn fossil fuels,like oil and coal.This has various effects, including melting glaciers and more acidic oceans, which can later lead to droughts.

God appoints everyone to take care of His creation, including the earth and its inhabitants. Thus, people of faith ought to take action in the fight against global warming, and aim for a clean energy future and overall, the betterment of life.
