Fight the Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA) Campaign

National Pro-Life Postcard Campaign

In November 2008, the full body of bishops voted unanimously to mobilize the resources of the USCCB, dioceses and the entire Catholic community to:

  • retain current pro-life laws and policies, and
  • oppose the federal funding and promotion of abortion, including the so-called “Freedom of Choice Act” (FOCA) or any similar pro-abortion measure.

The Committee on Pro-Life Activities has authorized a national pro-life postcard campaign to send that message to Congress. Launching on January 24-25, 2009, this massive campaign is being coordinated by the USCCB’s Secretariat of Pro-Life Activities and the National Committee for a Human Life Amendment (NCHLA). We are asking all parishes to publish Bishop McGrath’s letter in your bulletin and to make the postcards or the direct email links available to your community. Below are all the resources that you will need to make this happen.
