Respect Life Program, 2011-2012

RESPECT LIFE Program begins on Respect Life Sunday:  October 2, 2011 

October is Respect Life Month, and Respect Life Sunday, observed since 1972, is always the first Sunday in October. This year, Respect Life Program begins on Sunday, October 2, 2011.  This year's theme, I Came So That All Might Have Life, and Have It to the Full, contrasts "a life lived for career and wealth with a life lived in love and service to others."  Respect Life Packets are now available to the parishes and can be picked up from the Office for Parish Services at the Chancery Office: 1150 North First Street, Suite 100; San Jose, CA 95112-4966.  The packet contains eight full-color flyers; 1 poster (English/Spanish back-to-back); a liturgy guide which features homily notes and intercessory prayers for Respect Life Sunday (October 2, 2011), the Third in Ordinary Time (January 33, 2012), and the January 23rd "Day of Prayer and Penance for Life"; a catalog; an order card for flyer; and an envelope.  Each parish will receive one packet.  To order more, call the toll-free number (866)582-0943, or for a complete list of resources click here   For further information, please call Sylvia Blanch at 408-983-0128 or email at: blanch@dsj.org
