October is Respect Life Month.  A packet of materials for Respect Life Sunday on October 4 and throughout the month has been sent to all parishes.  This material is also available online from the USCCB Profile Secretariat in English and Spanish and includes a program flyer, liturgy guide, catalog, and articles.  This is one of the many prolife activities supported by the Diocese of San Jose.   Other supported activities and programs include:

  • Rachel’s Vineyard Retreat – reconciliation and healing ministry for those affected by abortion,
  •  Annual Mass and Prayer Walk each January 22nd at St. Nicholas on the anniversary of Roe v. Wade,
  • Walk for Life West Coast each year in January in San Francisco,
  • The Bishop’s Annual Mass for Expectant Mothers,
  • Introductory Sessions in Natural Family Planning for Engaged Couples,
  • Gabriel Project – Parish-Wide Assistance for Expectant Mothers Active in Two Parishes,
  • Anti-Death Penalty Advocacy,
  • Referrals to Pregnancy Support Centers, Including the Juan Diego Society,
  • Other Education and Advocacy in Keeping with a Consistent Ethic of Life.

Thank you for your support of human life and dignity.
