Telephone Town Hall meeting on Health Care - Network Lobby
Newsletter Email from Network Lobby
I'm sure you've heard about the town hall meetings going on around the country. Don't they sound exciting? Wouldn't you like to participate in one yourself?
We really do need people like you to be at the meetings to show that concerned citizens want to have a civil dialogue about healthcare. We need members of Congress to hear directly from constituents who want legislation to make healthcare affordable and accessible to everyone.
Here is the information I have about town hall meeting(s) in your state/district:
Official: Rep. Michael Honda
Topic: Telephone Town Hall
When: 08/25/2009
Starts: 06:30 PM
Where: CA
You can also find a list of town hall meetings around the country by clicking here: list of town hall meetings by state - excel file
This is all the information I have at this time. If there is no meeting near you, call your representative's and/or senator's local office and ask them if/when they will have meeting in your area, or if there is another way that you can meet with your member of Congress. You can find contact information for local offices through our web site at http://capwiz.com/networklobby/dbq/officials/
We encourage you to attend town hall meetings and let us know about your experience.
It would also be good to write a letter to the editor of your local newspaper about your experience at the town hall meeting, and your hopes for healthcare reform. You can find information about your local media at http://capwiz.com/networklobby/dbq/media/
Remember, what Congress does about healthcare reform in September depends in large part on what they hear from constituents like you in August.
Here is a link where you can give us feedback about meetings with your members of Congress:
