Posting and Advertising a Youth Ministry Coordinator Postion
When you are ready to hire a coordinator, please contact the Division of Youth Ministry and the Personnel Department, as we are often aware of potential candidates.
The Diocese of San Jose website is the first place that you should consider posting the postion. Contact the Personnel Department and they will be glad to assist you in posting a position on the website, as well as inform you about diocesan hiring procedures.
Another resource that is available is the National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry website. They have a free job bank (job posting) site that allows you to post for a pre-determined time and allows you to have national exposure.

From time to time, there will be books that pastors and clergy should consider reading to stay informed about the direction and vision of youth ministry.
Growing an Engaged Church: How to Stop "Doing Church" and Start Being Church
by Albert L. Winseman
Growing an Engaged Church leads us through years of research from the Gallup organization on churches and states as its thesis that belonging leads to believing. This statement has massive implications on how we do church and the need to focus on community, hospitality, and membership welcoming and orientation. It shares numerous narratives of real life examples of how people became engaged or unengaged in their church. This book helps changes the lens of how we do church so we can start being church.
