40 Days for Life
Youth and young adults throughout the Santa Clara Valley are invited to take part in the national 40 Days for Life effort from September 28 through November 6. Bishop McGrath has given his official endorsement for this endeavor in our Diocese and will be celebrating a special Mass for this intention on Wednesday, September 21st at 7:00 pm at Holy Family Parish. A reception with the Bishop will follow the Mass. All are welcome to attend.
In addition to 40 days of prayer and fasting for an end to abortion in America, please consider volunteering to pray outside of the Planned Parenthood Clinic at 1691 The Alameda in San Jose, for one or more hours during the 40 days, and help to spread the word to others about this important life-saving effort. We also hope to get youth and young adult groups to sign up specifically for Saturdays of the campaign to pray together and unite as young ministries.
In the words of Pope Benedict XVI, “Life is the first good received from God and is fundamental to all others; to
guarantee the right to life for all and in an equal manner for all is the duty upon which the future of humanity
depends.”
Please consider joining this peaceful, prayerful, pro-life movement that is bringing the message of life to communities nationwide. For more information, or to volunteer to help, please contact Klarissa dela Fuente at delafuente.klarissa@gmail.com or visit http://www.40daysforlife.com/sanjose/."
