Shortly before his death, Pope John Paul II asked all the bishops of the world to have trained exorcists in every diocese.  Bishop McGrath chose a priest to be the exorcist of the Diocese of San Jose, assisted by a few other priests and mental health professionals, including Fr. Kevin Joyce.  This year Doubleday published a fine book about the training of exorcists called "The Rite:  the Making of a Modern Exorcist" by Matt Baglio that focuses on the exorcist of San Jose.  Fr. Kevin will explain the scriptural foundations and practice of the ancient ministry of deliverance from evil spirits.
