- Description
Every day Detention Ministry volunteers touch the lives of hundreds of men, women, boys, and girls in county jails and juvenile facilities. They go behind those bars and fences where others fear to go or cannot go, bringing a redemptive message of hope, forgiveness, and Christ's love to angry, frustrated, hurting people. Youth minded clergy and lay ministers are especially needed. If you feel that you may be called to this special ministry, please contact us today.
Volunteers must fulfill the following minimum requirements to participate:
- Provide character references
- Interview with a Diocesan representative
- Complete security clearance requirements
- Attend 4 hour annual CIC training.
