World Day of the Sick

Dear Friends,

This brief letter is to ask for your assistance in promoting the World Day of the Sick on February 13, 2010 at 11:00a.m (for flyer click HERE). We have enclosed a flyer we hope you can post for your staff or parish community.

Bishop Patrick McGrath also invites you to join him in celebrating the Mass for the World Day of the Sick and anointing of the sick on February 13, 2010 at 11:00a.m. at Santa Teresa Church.

The Order of Malta has graciously agreed to coordinate this annual event for the feast of Our Lady of Lourdes. We assure you that Santa Teresa Church is completely handicapped accessible. There are no steps to navigate. Vehicles can drive up to the front entrance of the Church to unload passengers.

There will be special seating for the sick and mobility impaired including those in wheelchairs, with walkers, with braces, canes and service animals. Anyone who is in need of the anointing of the sick, their caregivers and families are welcome to attend. All in attendance will receive a special prayer card and holy water from Lourdes.
