Mr. Quoc Trinh
Collegiate Seminarian, Blessed Miguel Pro House

I was born on April 4, 1969, in Phuoc Long, Vietnam. My father died when I was six years old. I am the oldest child in my family and I have one brother and one sister. I was a Math teacher for eight years at Anbien High School in Vietnam. I came to the United States in 2001, and I have lived in San Jose with my mother since then.
I was born and raised Catholic, and my parents have always been strong in their faith. I have wanted to be a priest since I was a little boy. Since I was young, I have enjoyed praying, and I love to read the Holy Bible and pray the Rosary. I went to Holy Mass every morning, and I admired the priests who were serving at my church. In my eyes, priests are called to be holy men, and I want to be a holy man, too.
God has given me a great opportunity to pursue my goal to become a priest. I am normally responsible to take care of my beloved mother, but she will now live with my younger brother and now I can focus on my vocation. I understand that the road to the priesthood has many challenges. I am putting all my faith in God, and I know that God’s will for me will be done.
