“Season of Hope Cathedral Performance Series”
…A gift from the heart of San José!
Continuing its history of over 200 years of service, the Cathedral Basilica of St. Joseph presents its 21th annual Season of Hope Performance Series.
On evenings from December 12th through the 23rd, artists from the Bay Area ranging from, Opera San Jose, California, Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, San Jose Youth Symphony, San Jose Youth Chamber Orchestra, San Jose Jazz, San Jose State University Choraliers, Silicon Valley Student Ballet, Celtic Harps, including One Voice an interfaith performance group, Castillero’s award winning Performing Arts Middle School and other premier artists will help inspire over 1000 audience members.
Performers will present a free 45- 60-minute performance, starting at 7:30 PM.
Each night a representative from the Cathedral’s Office of Social Ministry will share three minutes reflecting on its work… fostering the spirit of hope every day Monday –Friday providing food, employment, shelter referral, a free Healthcare Clinic in partnership with Gardner Family Healthcare INC., and our Bridges of Hope Re-entry program partnering with Catholic Charities, Recovery Cafe, Department of Justice, and Santa Clara County Behavioral Health Services helping to rebuild lives. You our neighbors provide us with the privilege of serving those living on the margins of our society.
Discover San José’s historic sites and enjoy some of the best restaurants … Take a walk through Christmas in the Park , enjoy a free concert inside the Cathedral, and go ice-skating in the circle of palms located next to the Fairmont.
