Rev. Saju Joseph, JCL

I was born in South India, the second of five siblings. My mother is alive and well. My dad went to the Lord three years ago. I have two brothers and two sisters. Both my sisters are nuns belonging to two religious orders. My younger brother and family live in San Jose.

After degrees in Philosophy and Theology at Pontifical Athenaeum, Pune – a university and seminary run by the Jesuits, I was ordained a priest on January 4, 1994. I hold four bachelor’s degrees and two master’s degrees.

I moved to California in 2001 and have worked in the Diocese of San Jose since then. After completion of my studies in canon law at Catholic University of America (Washington, DC), I have been also appointed as judge at the diocesan tribunal along with my parish assignments.
