FIRE Talk – Praying with Icons in the Eastern Catholic Church

Icons are a powerful visual expression of the Divine popular in Eastern Christianity. Deacon Craig Anderson of St. Basil the Great Byzantine Catholic Church in Los Gatos will share this meaningful prayer tradition—both its history and its current practice.
Craig Anderson serves as a deacon in the Byzantine Catholic Church, an Eastern Catholic Church in full communion with the Roman Catholic Church. He has an MA in Theology and Ministry from Franciscan University of Steubenville, Ohio. In recent years, much of his work has involved men’s ministry, apologetics, ecumenism and the nature of the Church, including Church history.
