“You Shall Love the Lord Your God with All Your Mind: Science & Faith in Dialogue”
Sunday, September 29, 10:15

Modern media mistakenly tells us we need to choose between science and faith—that we must be either an atheistic rationalist or a superstitious fanatic. Fr. David Gentry, professor of theology at Saint Mary’s College of California in Orinda, will speak about the compatibility of science and faith and how each offers insights into the world the other cannot.
Father David Gentry-Akin, M. Div., STL, STD, is a priest of the Diocese of Stockton and a Professor of Theology at Saint Mary’s. His scholarly interests include religion and science, Catholicism and culture, philosophy and theology, the Vatican and the papacy, Catholic Higher Education, and the Lasallian charism in Catholic education. He holds a pontifical Doctorate and Licentiate in Theology from the Catholic University of Leuven (Belgium) and the Masters in Divinity from the University of Notre Dame.
