Msgr. Craig Harrrison Advent Talk

Mgsr. Craig Harrison will be speaking at Transfiguration Church in
San Jose on Tuesday, December 13, at 7:00 PM. Mgsr. Harrison was
awarded the Mother Teresa Award at the recent Italian Catholic Federation
national convention in Fresno. His talk is entitled “Our Advent Spiritual
Journey–Slow Down, Simplify and Sanctify.”
Mgsr. Harrison, pastor of St. Francis of Assisi parish in Bakersfield, is an
adoptive father of eight children and nineteen grandchildren! Besides the
Mother Teresa award, he’s the recipient of many other awards including the
Bishops’ Award for Catholic Charities, Plank Foundation Humanitarian of the Year,
NCEA Distinguished Pastor, and Leukemia Society Man of the Year. He’s also
the author of “Angel Girl.” He graduated from UCLA with a degree in Business
and Economics with a minor in psychology. He received his Master’s Degree of
Divinity from St. John’s Seminary in Camarillo and was ordained in 1987.
Fr. Craig’s talks are filled not only with humor but human examples of how we
can draw closer to Jesus during this Advent season. There will be time for questions
and discussion. His presentation is being sponsored by ICF Branch #445 and is open to
