Music Boot Camp

January 19 – 23, 2015 St. Joseph Cathedral Basilica is putting on the First Annual Music Boot Camp. It takes place at the cathedral in the evening from 5:30 to 9:00pm. Bob Hurd, a national recording artist for Oregon Catholic Press, will be delivering the keynote speech and teaching a class. The classes range from “How to direct and tune my choir” to “How to create and play with an ensemble” to “I play the piano but want to learn how to play the organ” to “Chant class” and much much more. Each evening consists of 2 classes plus a networking session with your fellow musicians while enjoying food and wine.
