Ozanam Orientation – 2018

Do you have a desire to help struggling families in your community but aren’t sure where to start? Are you curious about The St. Vincent de Paul Society, what we do, why we do what we do, and how we do it?
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul of Santa Clara County will be conducting our 2018 Ozanam Orientation in September. This is a great opportunity to learn how to serve people who are in need, how we function, and how you can help by becoming a member of the St Vincent de Paul Society in your area!

-What is Vincentian Spirituality?
-Organization recruitment and accountability- How does this happen?
-Why do we have a Rule and what is it?
12:00 Lunch Break (Lunch Will Be Provided)
Afternoon Session:
-What is our society doing today?
-The home visit – Nuts and Bolts
-Voice of the Poor – advocacy and what this means for Vincentians
-Special Works – What do the Counties offer?
