Predicting Justice: Optimizing Data in the Criminal Justice System

Expert panelists discuss the affect on vulnerable communities of using artificial intelligence and risk assessment tools in the criminal justice system. Moderators are David Ball, professor of criminal law at Santa Clara Law, Kelley Kulick, deputy public defender of Santa Clara County, Elsa Chen, professor of political science and vice-provost at Santa Clara University, and Irina Raicu, director of the Internet Ethics Program at the Markkula Center for Applied Ethics. The symposium is free. Please register for continental breakfast and lunch. Lawyer may received up to 6 hours of CLE credit.
