Spiritual Care Volunteers at Valley Medical Center

If you have a heart for compassionate listening and the ability to give 2 hrs per week to patients in need of spiritual care while in the hospital, Valley Medical Center could use your help. No previous experience or training is needed. We are looking for mature men and women who are in good standing in their own faith tradition and able to provide emotional and spiritual support to people from a variety of backgrounds. Volunteers receive 5 weeks of training before beginning practice and are supervised by qualified experienced chaplains. The next training class begins Sept 11 and ends on October 9.
