Opening to the holy in prayer happens in ways both unique and universal. At different times in our lives our prayer forms change and present us with new “thresholds” to a deeper relationship with the Divine. This week will engage us in ancient and ever-new forms of prayer in the context of our lives and our world. The process will include some historical background on types of prayer, engaging in practice, and group reflection. A contemplative approach will open possibilities for prayer through images, nature, scripture, poetry, and silence.
