On the week leading up to Super Bowl Sunday, while most people roamed the supermarkets looking for chips and salsa, Holy Spirit students were on a mission to find five mystery soups to benefit Sacred Heart Community Services.
The students were given a clue to identify which kind of soup they should bring to school each day of the week. Cans were collected on the stage, counted, bagged, and delivered to the Sacred Heart Community Services pantry.
Thanks to the efforts of Student Council and Mrs. Margaret Keeney, Holy Spirit School collected and donated 1,010 cans of soup as part of our first ever “Souper Bowl” for Sacred Heart campaign.
The students had fun trying to guess the clues and were determined to collect the highest possible number of cans for those in our community in need of food.
Do you wonder how well you would have done? Here are the soup clues for this year.
- Monday – Mini trees and Fromage
- Tuesday -A Fungus with Muscles
- Wednesday – Louisiana Fowl’s Favorite
- Thursday – Big Apple’s Ocean-Floor Friend
- Friday -The “Kitchen Sink” in Italy
Thank you, Coyotes, for your enthusiasm and for turning your faith into action!
