Dear Catholic School Families,
As we celebrate the end of the school year, I want to express my deepest gratitude for your support, partnership, and trust in our schools. Despite our physical distance, this year has truly been marked by solidarity and hope. With your vital support, we have been able to ensure the safety of every school community – with over 6,000 people in-person and hundreds more joining remotely across our elementary campuses. United as a diocese, our principals, teachers, and staff have come together to redesign faith, socio-emotional, and educational opportunities to deepen the support of every child and continually strengthen the ministry of Catholic education.
I want to extend a special congratulations to all of our graduates. You have been an incredible witness to resilience and grace throughout this pandemic, and we are excited for the next chapter of your journey.
As we look ahead with great hope for the new school year, several questions have surfaced regarding protocols for the fall. The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) has indicated that they will continue to publish COVID mitigation protocols specific to TK-12 schools. We anticipate that the next update to these guidelines will be provided later this June. Throughout the summer, your principal will share any implications that these updates may have for your school’s procedures.
We look forward to continuing our journey with you next year. May God’s loving embrace bless you and your family this summer.
Yours in Christ,
Jennifer Beltramo
Superintendent of Catholic Schools
