POSITION SUMMARY
To work with the pastor to oversee the parish music services and liturgical planning programs for all ages. To be responsible for the coordination and direction of choir(s) utilized within the parish.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

Major Areas of Responsibility
- To be responsible for planning all music services for the parish to include Masses, funerals, weddings, and other liturgical services as necessary.
- Responsible for forming and directing different choirs, i.e. children, etc,
- Responsible for forming instrumental music groups or individual soloists.
- Responsible for recruiting and training cantors
- Be proficient in piano and organ keyboards.
Specific Responsibilities
- Prepare and play at Masses on Saturday, Sunday, Holyday, and weekdays.
- Prepare music slides for Masses as needed.
- Actively recruit new choir members, cantors and musicians.
- Responsible for implementing all parish practices as defined in the General Instruction of the Roman Missal (GIRM).
- Be prepared to plan music for parish weddings, funerals, quinceañeras, Advent and Lent reconciliation services.
- Responsible to introduce new music and Mass settings to the congregation and respective choirs.
- Responsible for preparation of all printed programs containing musical selections for the parish.
- Responsible to work within the budget for Music Ministry, to meet with the Pastor on a regular schedule.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS TO PERFORM THE JOB SUCCESSFULLY:
Fully initiated, practicing catholic preferred with good communication and leadership skills. Must be proficient in piano and organ keyboards, with a familiarity of a variety of musical instruments. Must have experience working in a church liturgical setting, background in religious studies and theology preferred.
Education and/or Experience:
Degree or strong background in business administration. Must be proficient in piano and organ keyboards, with a familiarity of a variety of musical instruments. Must have experience working in a church liturgical setting. Background in religious studies and theology preferred.
Language Skills:
- Must have ability to communicate effectively and have strong interpersonal skills.

Provides financial support to the parish by recording the daily financial transactions of the parish’s operations with an objective of producing high-quality financial statements. This role contributes to efficient workflows in the overall payment cycle including vendor management, and the revenue cycle which involves both manual and automated systems.
This position;
- reports to the pastor – or business manager at larger parishes,
- collaborates with the pastor’s advisory bodies and staff; which includes the local finance council and (if applicable) business manager and department heads, and a contingent of volunteers,
- has vendor and customer (parishioner)-facing roles,
- is guided by the Diocesan central office (Chancery)
The accounting software utilized is Quickbooks.Plus
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Maintain and Implement General Accounting Processes:
Set up, update and maintain accounting procedures and policies, in accordance with US generally – accepted accounting principles, in compliance with DSJ policy; and in compliance with local, state and federal regulations
Maintain financial security by upholding internal controls
Record the daily financial transactions of the parish’s operations
- Revenue – Oversee and collaborate with staff and volunteers to record and track parish revenue; including Church collections, and possible rental receipts, ensuring timely bank deposits
- Accounts Payable – Input vendor bills and generate weekly check run
- Accounts Receivables (limited reporting)
- Fixed Assets; maintenance of a fixed asset list, and depreciation schedules.
- Fund accounting; including restricted classes, grant, and campaigns
- Grant programs
- Bi-monthly payroll (calculation is not necessary, only entry of time & attendance reporting, and specialized payments)
Monthly accounting close procedures, including bank and credit card reconciliations, and use of journal entries
Prepare tax reporting:
- Form 1099 tax statements to vendors,
- Form 571-L business property statement
- (W-2 tax statements to employees are prepared by Chancery)
Meetings and Reports
- Prepare and distribute monthly financial statements, including cash management reports
- Prepare annual parish budget
- Prepare periodic reports to parish community and Chancery
- Attend local staff meetings, and month-end quarterly Finance Council meetings
Maintain and update Quickbooks software
Assist or lead special projects as assigned
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:
Parish Database
- Oversee and collaborate with staff to track donations and pledges (including capital campaigns, and annual Diocesan appeals) in specialized eGiving software
- Oversee the preparation and distribution of Annual Contribution Statements
- Provide general maintenance to the eGiving software system, ensuring parishioner records are current
ADDITIONAL TASKS:
- Import and post parish giving report to Parish Soft.
- Get the ACH 3rdand 18th Report from Heritage Bank and post to parish soft
- Maintains payee accounts of ( ACH)
- Scan all invoices and process payments
- Handles all filing of invoices
- Coordinates with Men’s Club for their financial information (affiliated organization)
- Prepares stipend for priests
- Prepares and sends out tax letter to parishioners
- Consolidates weekly collection report
QUALIFICATIONS TO PERFORM THE JOB SUCCESSFULLY:
Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree (B.S. or B.A.) in Accounting or Finance preferred. Associates degree (A.A.) acceptable, with 3 – 5 years bookkeeping experience, preferably in a non-profit setting.
Computer Skills: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint), Workday, eGiving software
Other: Able to work evenings and weekends if required
Organized, with a strong attention to detail

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Facilities Maintenance worker II at Parish is responsible for maintaining the parish buildings and grounds. The Facilities Maintenance worker II performs and supervises tasks related to security, environmental, safety, custodial and event coordination. This position requires a team player attitude, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, attention to details and project coordination. The Facilities Maintenance worker II has a clear understanding of acceptable business practices in relationship to church teachings. The Facilities Maintenance worker II can collaborate with and support the Pastor, parish staff and parishioners. This person reports to Facilities Manager all arising problems and consults with manager prior to making final decisions on repairs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING (and other duties as assigned):

- Work on all related to the maintenance of parish buildings including but not limited to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, custodial and security of the parish.
- Maintains equipment on parish grounds by closely monitoring equipment and completing necessary testing as required. Also maintains accurate records of all maintenance repairs.
- Works facilities work order system with supervision.
- Oversees and provides custodial needs of the parish grounds.
- Oversees and provides event coordination. Ensures proper scheduling of set up and take down for meetings, events, worship, weddings, funerals, and otherwise as directed.

- Works with Business Manager to manage annual facility budget.
- May assist in key distribution as requested by management.

- Regularly inspects parish properties for areas of concern.
- Manages relationship with rental tenants as needed. Addressing any maintenance concerns.
- Ensures compliance and implementation of policies as they relate to parish facilities.
- Attends staff meetings.
- Serves as primary contact for facility related emergencies, which may require evening and weekend work.

Position Summary:
This position provides specialized assistance to support the various departments of the parish office. This position helps to support the smooth operation of the different pastoral departments of the parish, and will interface and take assignments as needed from pastoral staff leaders needing assistance. This position reports to the Office Manager who will coordinate day to day activities. This position serves on the pastoral staff of the parish and will attend regular staff meetings.

Qualifications:
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and Google applications, and able to access and utilize various online database systems. Experience required using Canva or similar graphic arts marketing tools, MailChimp or other email marketing tools. WordPress and experience in performing website updates and maintenance a plus.
- Must have good communication skills including written skills and the ability to translate events and activities into one-page fliers and slides.

Responsibilities:
Faith Formation and Spirituality Activities Estimated 12 hours per week.
Program Support Specialist will work to support the Pastoral Associate for Faith and Spiritual Formation in a wide variety of activities. We encourage volunteer support in these areas so position will work in conjunction with them to assure the following tasks are successfully completed.
- Ensures accurate registration utilizing ParishSOFT Religious Education module for Catechesis of the Good Shepard (CGS), Children’s Faith Formation (CFF), Middle and High School Youth Ministry (MSYM, HSYM), and the Right of Christian Initiation (RCIC) for children.Assures accuracy of data and classroom assignments. Assures sacramental records are current and accurate within the database. Coordinates information about Sacraments performed to the Office Manager for upkeep of parish registries. Manages registration and sacramental forms received.
- Helps to assure Baptism, First Reconciliation, First Communion, Confirmation, and Marriage sacramental preparation certificates are generated prior to the Mass where the Sacrament are performed. This allows handing out certificates at the time of the Sacrament.
- Assists in preparing materials and set up for Baptisms, Children’s Faith Formation and Adult Spirituality programs, including parent meetings and special events.
- Works with the PA to assure that all volunteers working in the program, especially Catechists, are Safe Environment compliant.
- Supports communication needs within the department. Provides other clerical and office duties as requested to support the Faith Formation and Spirituality office.
Communications Department Activities Estimated 5 hours per week
Will interface with Communications Coordinator as needed to support clear and timely communications with the Community concerning parish activities and events. May include the following activities:
- Prepare a draft of the weekly ebulletin using Mailchimp. Assist in maintaining and updating MailChimp email lists, as well as other email lists used by the Communications department.
- Utilize Canva to prepare fliers and other graphic arts as needed
- Update calendars that feed the parish website Master Calendar
- Assist with keeping bulleting boards and information areas updated as needed
Office Operations Estimated 3 hours per week
Will interface with the Office Manager for other duties as needed to support the pastor, parish priests and office operations as needed.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Under supervision, duties include facility set-up, the capability to perform minor preventative maintenance tasks on equipment and machinery such as lubrication, filter changes, and the like. Assists in the movement and relocation of furniture, equipment, and machinery as required. Requires skills in carpentry, plumbing, painting, and some electrical. May also do minor gardening tasks that assist in keeping the grounds safe and orderly.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:
- To Provides basic maintenance and repair to the parish buildings and grounds.
- Perform repairs, modifications, and preventative maintenance on the parish buildings, facilities, fixtures and systems.
- Tasks may include but are not limited to troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of plumbing, mechanical and electrical systems; light carpentry; painting; periodic inspections and preventative maintenance.
- May be asked to assist in the relocation of furniture, equipment and machinery as the need arises. Some duties are performed in an outdoor environment which may involve adverse weather conditions and related hazards.
- Building maintenance duties are performed independently, using skills brought to the job. Repairs, replaces, and installs electrical components including electrical motors, circuits, wires, outlets, fixtures, appliances, ballasts, and lights.
- Minor repair, replacement, and installation plumbing fixtures and appliances.
- Provides remodeling services requiring carpentry skills; fastens cabinets and white boards to walls, replaces doors and locks, paints, puts furniture together.
- Performs preventative maintenance duties such as changing filters and lubricating equipment. Lifts and moves furniture and supplies within and between buildings. As needed assists with set up and tear down of tables, chairs, presentation systems, and church functions.
- Attends work on a regular and dependable basis.

QUALIFICATIONS TO PERFORM THE JOB SUCCESSFULLY:

One year of general building maintenance experience involving plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical skills; or substituting any equivalent combination of experience and training; physical strength and agility required by the position, 25-range electrical multi-tester; hand tools including, but not limited to, hammer, drill, saw pipe, wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, various saws; janitorial equipment; plumbing equipment; electrical components; ladders; motor vehicle.
The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places, and risk of electrical shock. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift weights up to 100 pounds.
Proficient in English and Spanish in all of the following areas: Ability to read instructions, correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.
