Every First Sunday of December we collect Layette items.Consider donating to the Layette Program that operates throughout the year with the help of volunteers by creating baskets for newborns.
The basket donations include baby clothing and other items for newborns from zero to 6 months.

Providing purchased or hand-crafted layette items is a wonderful way to help new mothers who may be facing financial or emotional challenges during one of the most important times of their lives.

The Maintenance Worker is responsible for assisting in the maintenance of the parish campus (buildings and grounds). The Maintenance Worker performs tasks related to security, environmental, safety, custodial and event coordination. This position requires collaboration, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, attention to details and project coordination. The Maintenance Worker has a clear understanding of acceptable business practices in relationship to church teachings and can cooperate with and support the Maintenance Supervisor, Operations Manager, Pastor, parish staff and parishioners.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

- Assists in all work related to the maintenance of parish campus, including, but not limited to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, custodial and security of the parish.
- Assists in the maintenance of equipment on parish grounds by closely monitoring equipment and completing necessary testing as required. Also assists in maintaining accurate records of all maintenance repairs.
- Works with the facility work order system (currently Gridium)
- Handles set up and take down for meetings, events, worship, weddings, funerals, and otherwise as directed.
- Keeps buildings safe by following all standard procedures, policies, operation manuals.
- Works with supervisor to report problems, solutions, and costs associated. Provides supervisor with a weekly status update on any pending project.
- Promotes a positive team attitude with employees and volunteers.
- Regularly inspects parish campus for areas of concern.
- Ensures compliance and implementation of policies as they relate to parish campus and facilities.
- Adheres to all Diocesan policies.
QUALIFICATIONS TO PERFORM THE JOB SUCCESSFULLY: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, ability, and physical demands required. Education and/or Experience: High School diploma required.
Technical Skills: Microsoft Office and Excel
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid driver’s license.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for extended periods of time, use hands in repetitive motion tasks, handle objects and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Language Skills: Proficient in spoken and written English. Ability to follow directions, and learn all policies, procedures, and operational standards. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from the supervisor, staff, parishioners, and the public.
Other Requirements:
- Able to work evenings and weekends if required.
- Ability to interact and collaborate with both volunteers and staff.
- Organizational skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated and reliable.
- Must have own vehicle/transportation for use on the job
- Livescan fingerprint clearance through the California Department of Justice is also a condition of employment.

Salary Range: $19.00 – $24.00 per hour based on education and experience.
