From Ashes to Glory: A Lenten Reflection with Dan Schutte

The prayer we begin on Ash Wednesday continues throughout the Lenten season. We ask God to prepare us to follow the way of his Son, through his Passion and Death, into the glory of the Resurrection. As we prepare for the holiest of seasons, Dan will engage you in music, gospel stories and reflections that invite them to enter the journey of Lent. This mission is designed to help us renew our faith and deepen our commitment to Christ by immersing ourselves in faith, bringing light to a world steeped in darkness. Event will be on March 18, 2017 from 10 AM – 3 PM at Holy Family Parish (4848 Pearl Ave., San Jose, CA 95136)

Science, Religion and Beauty in the Starts

Presented by Bro. Guy Consolmagno
From the opening of Genesis to the most recent encyclical of Pope Francis, our belief in a Creator has meant that we believe God “reveals Himself in the things He has made” (to quote St. Paul). By looking at beauty in both nature and in the science that lets us understand nature we ask: What is God revealing to us?
Starts at 4pm on Feb. 17 and ends at 2pm on Feb. 19.
