Taize Prayer Around the Cross for Lent
We’re excited to announce Taize prayer services at St. Frances Cabrini during Lent. The Taize prayer service is from an interfaith community founded in Taize, France in 1940. A Taize service provides a form of prayer that was much admired by Pope John Paul II for its simplicity and focus on Christ. At a Taize service we pray as we sing, as we reflect on the Scripture reading, as we sit in silence, and as we offer our prayers to Christ. The highlight of the service is an invitation to offer your concerns and joys before the cross of Jesus. We hope you’ll consider including this serene and meditative style of prayer as part of your Lenten devotions.

Services will be held in the church from 6:45pm-7:30pm Wednesday, March 20; Wednesday, March 27; Monday, April 1, and Monday, April 8.
