Solemn Vespers for the Jubilee Year of Hope

On Sunday, January 12, at 5 pam, in union with bishops throughout the world, Bishop Cantú will have solemn vespers to open the local observance of the Jubilee Year 2025 at Cathedral Basilica of St. Joseph.

The motto of the Jubilee 2025 is Pilgrims of Hope

The liturgy will include a procession and a special proclamation of the Jubilee. All are welcome.

Men’s & Women’s Silent Retreat in December

Learn to Pray with Mary, the Mother of Carmel: Attend a Men’s & Women’s Silent Retreat with Fr. Thomas Reeves, O.C.D. at St. Clare’s Retreat. Fr. Thomas is currently the Prior at Mount Saint Joseph Carmelite Monastery in San Jose. His favorite topic of study and preaching is Our Blessed Mother. Conferences will cover prayer in the Carmelite tradition, the role of Our Blessed Mother in our life of prayer, and how we can deepen our own prayer lives. Register by December 6.

Pastoral Ministry Formation – Virtual Sessions 2025

Foundational theology formation series for ministers that replaces “Faith Beyond 2000 – Part I and II.” Upon completion, pastoral ministers  will receive a “Pastoral Ministry Certification” issued by the Institute for Leadership in Ministry. This program is held Virtually.

For all the ministers: lectors, Eucharistic ministers, ushers, catechists, youth group leaders, RCIA team members, etc.)

The course is one of the requirements for Catechist Certification.

Session Time: 6:30pm – 8:30pm
