There will be an opportunity for you to understand what immigration relief will mean for immigrants and their families. On Monday November 24 and Tuesday November 25 at 5 and 7pm at CET on 701 Vine St., San José, Catholic Charities and other legal experts on immigration will host information sessions.
President Obama made announcements on Thursday and Friday about a major executive action on immigration reform. This executive action will have a direct impact on several tens of thousands in our county – many are right here in our parishes. We also know many of our parishioners will not be included in this executive action.
We are committed as a parish and a diocese to keep our community together spiritually and recognize everyone’s need for protection – spiritual, emotional, and legal protection. We hope the protection many get will embolden you to fight for the relief for all of our families.
Again, this coming Monday November 24 and Tuesday November 25 at 5 pm and repeated at 7 pm there will be information sessions on this new immigration relief. The sessions will be held at CET on 701 Vine Street in San Jose.
Pronto habrá una oportunidad para que entienda lo que el alivio de inmigración va a significar para los inmigrantes y sus familias. El lunes y el martes a las 5 y a las 7 de la tarde en el CET en la 701 Vine St, San José, Caridades Católicas y otros expertos legales de inmigración tendrán sesiones informativas.
El Presidente Obama hizo anuncios el jueves y el viernes sobre una importante acción ejecutiva sobre la reforma migratoria. Esta acción ejecutiva tendrá un impacto directo en varias decenas de miles de personas en nuestro país – muchos están aquí, en nuestras parroquias. También sabemos que muchos de nuestros feligreses no se incluirán en esta acción ejecutiva.
Estamos comprometidos como parroquia y diócesis a mantener nuestra comunidad unida espiritualmente y reconocer la necesidad de protección para todos– espiritual, emocional y legal. Esperamos que la protección que muchos reciben les de la valentía para luchar por el alivio para todas nuestras familias.
